Friends of Rotary
Our Club is very keen to develop a closer association with the business community, to communicate the aims and ideals of our work in the community and elsewhere and to encourage their involvement and support.
We also wish to establish an informative arrangement with individuals who wish to be kept abreast of Rotary activities through regular communication from us.
To assist with this aim, we have established two categories of "Friends" of Bishops Waltham Rotary Club:
Business Friends
A number of local businesses have associated themselves with the Rotary Club of Bishops Waltham. This is helpful to the Rotary movement in getting information about our aims and activities into the public domain while the benefits for the businesses involved include:
A very cost effective association with a well known and respected "brand"
An increased profile within the community
Representation at the many events that we organise
6500 local people plus many visitors will be aware of your association with us
25% discount off advertising in our Carnival programme which goes to over 6000 people
Invitation to speak about your business at a regular Rotary meeting
Currently our Business Friends include:
Millers and Co. Insurance Broker
Nigel Chamberlain and Partners - Funeral Directors
Anvil Tea Rooms

For an annual donation, the company or organisation will be acknowledged as a "Friend" in promotional material that we produce, in press releases and on our web site. In addition, where we hold events and programmes or produce other informative material, they will also be be acknowledged.
We will keep our "Friends" advised of of events which they may attend, and are also open to non Club members. We may, at times, invite such "friends" to attend specific meetings on an ad hoc basis. This will allow such friends to observe our Club activities, and, if applicable, consider becoming a member
Individual Friends
We are in the process of establishing a mailing list of indiduals who share our objectives of helping those in need. There is no charge for this and we will keep "friends" advised on our activities and give them priority booking at all our public events. By being a friend, you will show your support for the work we do, which is embraced in our mission statement of "Service before Self". There is no obligation whatsoever, other than being identified as someone who wishes to receive notification of our activities. We would welcome the opportunity for both categories of "Friends" to assist us at any of our major events e.g Bishops Waltham Carnival and the BW 5 Road Race If you would like to become a "Friend" of Bishops Waltham Rotary Club, either as a Business friend or and Individaul, please contact us contact.html with your name, address, e-mail address, and telephone number.
