Road Race and Fun Run 2012 - Sunday 22nd July.

The event this year is moving from its traditional first Sunday in June slot to Sunday July 22nd.
It is being greatly enhanced in conjunction with Fareham Crusaders Running Club, Macmillan Cancer Support Trust and Bishops Waltham Junior School PTA.
Both the Road Race & Fun Run courses will be revised this year but the Road Race will still use much of the traditional route and will start in Hoe Road while the Fun Run will start near the BW Junior School.
Both races will finish at Bishops Waltham Junior School which will be used as the Event HQ.
This is seen as an exciting initiative to raise the profile of the event and provide a warm-up for the Great South Run. It will also raise even more funds for the Bishop's Waltham Rotary Club nominated charities, the Macmillan Cancer Trust and the Junior School PTA.
The 5-mile Road Race is very testing and draws experienced Road Runners from all over Hampshire and the South of England.
The 2-mile Fun Run is generally dominated by fit local youngsters and gives local groups the opportunity to raise money for their own funds through sponsorship.
The revised Road Race course is to be remeasured in early March and, once completed, the application for a licence will be sent to UK Athletics.
FULL RACE INSTRUCTIONS, DOWNLOADABLE ENTRY FORM, UKA LICENCE NUMBER, MAPS ETC. WILL FOLLOW SOON.
